Emerging research suggests that mindfulness-based training programs hold great potential in enhancing stress resiliency and improving health outcomes in high-stress occupations, including military personnel and law enforcement officers. We will discuss our ongoing research collaboration with the Madison Police Department, offer examples of some mindfulness practices, and lead a conversation on potential extensions of this training for dispatchers.
